Description

Description: Pink and green remind me of summer. Always have. Soft custom green comprised of white, olive and lime green makes up the first half and bright pink glass aka rubino is the latter half. Soft copper green embellishments and a bright pink head with green and copper green beak. Lots of color and depth. Bright and playful just like Summer.

Dimensions/Quantity: 1 fine, handmade lampwork bird: 25mm long X 15mm wide. Sorry, silver beads not included.

Mandrel Size: About 99% of my beads are made on a 3/32 mandrel and most of the spacers or smaller non-focal beads are made on a 1/16 mandrel. This bead was made on a 3/32 mandrel.

The Beads: Every single bead that you will ever see from me is made by me, one at a time and with great care at my studio in IL. I use Boro, Lauscha, Moretti, Ask 104, Vetrofond, Double Helix and CIM glass for the larger majority of my work. On occasion I will use Reichenbach and system 96 glass as well.

After the Flame: My beads are kiln-annealed over a 10 hour period for added durability. This ensures that the beads that you buy today will bring you a lifetime of enjoyment. I check and re-check every bead for flaws and scrupulously clean each and every one thoroughly. Shop with confidence. You are getting the highest of quality in fine glass art.

Shipping: Shipping is done by USPS, first class insured.

About Me: I am an SRA lampwork artist. Please click here: (or copy this into your browser) http://www.self-representing-artist.com/ to learn more about what that means. I first found lampworking in July of 2006 and by October of the same year I was a full-blown bead-addict. Before glass I did web design, graphic art, photography, all things painting and body art on a professional platform. If the medium existed, I tried it. I still enjoy dabbling in those realms but have completely turned my focus to lampworking as a full-time glass artisan. Even a year ago I could have NEVER told you this is where I would be. Life is strange.

I strive to bring you stunning and unique artisan pieces that are always handcrafted and made with care. My glass beads are earthy, organic, bright, playful and dramatic. My silver is much the same. I would describe my style as bohemian and believe that the uniqueness of my designs will offer you a large range of uncommonly beautiful works that will fit-in easily with your existing collection. I'd like to infect you with my passion for glass and wearable art through my own creations and expression. Welcome to my world.

If you would like to know more about me or my beads please check out my site at: www.greenglasscafe.com. I welcome any and all questions so please feel free to convo me! Thanks for coming to check out my work.
