Round and Round Hand Bag

Who knew that place mats could be used for something other than decorating your table! I love to find funky place mats and create cute hand bags out of them! I add all sorts of ribbons, fabrics, buttons, appliques, handles and whatnot to make these one-of-a-kind creations! I make no two alike, and people seem to like knowing that no one else will ever be carrying their exact hand bag around! All bags are between 9-11" wide and about 7-8" high, depending on the size of the mat. They are very durable! I carry one myself and it is chock full of stuff and trust me when I say that I don't have time to baby it! It's lasted me over a year now, and still looks great! They make great occasion bags to dress up an outfit or just as a conversation piece. They also make great gifts! A great addition to any wardrobe with it's great use of earthy colors. A pale burnt orange cotton place mat is accented with browns, creams, and olive embroidered circles, separated by an iridescent brown ribbon, topped with an olive grosgrain ribbon. Natural rope and bamboo handles and an interior double fabric pocket finish off this bag nicely!
