Dark Sky Spiral Sun magnet

Description

This design was inspired by a soapstone coaster. Leaving the design 'hollow' and making the rest dark really makes the spiral stand out.

The Spiral is often seen as a symbol for life, because our lives run in circles, both good and bad cycles. Also, it is a simple reminder of "What goes around, comes around."

I've burnt this design by hand (no stamps here!) onto a 3" diameter round piece of wood, approx. 1/8" thick. I then sealed the whole thing with an acrylic sealant, for lasting beauty and ease of care.

The magnetic strip on the back allows for display on most metal surfaces, including the fridge or a metal filing cabinet.
