Full Persian Copper Chainmail Bracelet

Description

This chainmaille, or chainmail, bracelet was made by winding copper wire into a coil. I then cut the coil into individual rings. The rings were then woven in a pattern known as Full Persian or Foxtail. I then added a handmade copper S clasp.

This bracelet measures approximately 8 ¼ inches (21 cm) long and is approximately 3/8 inches (.95 cm) wide. It will fit nicely on a 7 inch (17.8 cm) wrist.

This bracelet has a very shiny copper finish right now, but it will age to a rich brown over time. If you would like it to stay shiny, it can be cleaned with copper cleaner or a paste made from lemon juice and salt.
