Mountain Muse Extreme Descent sculpture

Description

Two great passions of the artist combine with metal working mastery. My love of women & the female form and my passion for wintersport blend in this very special sculpture. "Mountain Muse Extreme Descent" brings the dynamic action, balance and form of extreme skiing to the world of art.

Here in the mountains of Vermont it is said that there are four seasons. Pre-winter, winter, post-winter and the shortest, growing season. In this environment the artist has little to do but play in the snow or hold up in the warmth of the studio - where the imagination runs wild! There is a muse in these mountains and she is mine; my Mountain Muse.

This sculpture is made of fine pewter, ski poles are bronze, and the base is black granite. It is 7 1/2 inches tall from the bottom of the granite to the top of her hair. It is a limited edition of 100. This is number 3 in the edition.
