Batty Moon - a hand-painted ACEO

Description

One of my favourite sights in the sky is when the moon is full. Silhouettes against the full moon make it look even more magical. Here, a cloud of bats are silhouetted against a bright full moon, in a dark blue night sky. Details are picked out in silver.

This ACEO was painted in acrylics and silvery poster paint. The piece of 220 gsm paper on which it was painted measures 6.5cm (2.5") wide and just over 8cm (3.5") tall, as is standard with ACEOs.

ACEO stands for "Art Cards: Editions and Originals". Many artists offer these cards as an inexpensive way to buy their art. This piece could be framed alone, or with other art, grouped with one or more of my other ACEOs, or displayed in any way you like.
