For your consideration is this beautiful, shoulder tote that I made using the wonderful Vera Bradley ™ Toile fabric in yellow, pink and red. This fabric is very rare and hard to find. It is from the Vera Bradley My Home collection. It is truly one-of-a-kind. I will never make another one exactly like it.

This tote is just the right size to carry every day or for a day of shopping and would also make a great book bag, small diaper bag or market tote. It is sturdy enough to hold your heavier items.

♥ On The Outside ♥
I made the front and back of the bag using the wonderful Vera fabric and is topped using a pink and white Laura Ashley fabric that matches beautifully.

The shoulder strap is made from the same Laura fabric and is double padded and top stitch quilted and will feel very comfortable on the shoulder. The fold over tab closure is adorned with a beautiful vintage red button.

♥ On The Inside ♥
I think the inside of a purse should be as pretty as the outside. I used the Laura fabric and added 4 pockets.

♥ Construction ♥
I constructed this bag to feel super quilty soft but it can stand on it’s own. Sandwiched between the outside and the lining is a layer of thick batting along with a layer of interfacing. I used several rows of topstitching so the bag will not sag and also give it a feeling of being quilted. All of the fabric in this purse is 100% cotton. Scotchguard has been applied for protection. You can spot clean and steam press if necessary but should be dry cleaned to protect it from fading as you would with any fine garment.
