Description

Ah, flowers. What would the world be like without their many colorful contributions? These batts are run through my carder three times to ensure a good blend and are a dream to spin. Blended especially for spinning sock yarn, it can be used for anything else you'd like that will require softness, durability and a degree of washability.

There will be a total of 10 new colors in the Posy Toes Bamboo line, and this is the first. I call it Morning Glories for the bright and pale blues reminescent of that lovely flower, coupled with the dusty green of the leaves. The batts are composed of 65% fine Merino wool for warmth, 21% bamboo for moisture wicking and antibacterial properties, and 14% nylon for strength and durability. There are 3 batts in each bag. Each batt weighs about 1.2 oz for a total of 3.6 ounces of fiber, and I typically get over 400 yds. of 2-ply yarn from these 3 batts. Garments made with this yarn should be hand washed and dried flat. I've also included a little instruction sheet with several methods of spinning the batt to yield different color effects and yarns.

My fiber comes from a smoke-free home with 2 cats in residence. While they do not sleep on or near my fiber, their hairs DO manage to drift into the strangest places. Photo props are not included in this offering.
