Dark Day - pair of hand-painted ACEOs

Description

This is a small diptych involving a tree spreading across two cards, and is a smaller version of my painting, "Dark Day". The first card depicts one side of this tree in daylight, and the other shows the other side of the tree at sunset. The tree on the daylight side has been painted using a mixture of copper poster paint and black acrylic, giving it a metallic sheen that looks different in varying light. The sunset tree is in silhouette, painted in black acrylic, a striking contrast to the bright acrylic colours of the setting sun.

Each of these cards measures 6.5cm (2.5") wide and just over 8cm (3.5") tall, as is standard with ACEOs. ACEO stands for "Art Cards: Editions and Originals". Many artists offer these cards as an inexpensive way to buy their art. This piece could be framed alone, or with other art, grouped with one or more of my other ACEOs, or displayed in any way you like.
