Mermaid hanging doll

This is Coral, a beautiful and mysterious Mermaid. I have given her a subtle crackle glaze and worn, aged look of a ship's figurehead. She is jointed at the arms and also at the waist, allowing her tail to swing freely. She has a metal chain to hang from and would look great hung over a mirror or jewellery stand on your dressing table (preferrably with a sea view if that could be arranged, she asked me to add that bit).

She has long synthetic nylon hair (which should be kept away from flames) and a headdress made from seaweed and pearls... or wool and bugle beads in this case! She has a pair of shells for a bra and an iridescent finish to her long luxurious tail. The fin at the bottom is made of holographic lycra and blue netting and has lots of tiny beads glued on. She likes to hang around naughty pirate boys and has an anchor tatoo as a souvenir. She is the larger of the 2 mermaids at around 24cm high including her tail fin.

All of my dolls are "One of a Kind", no moulds or patterns are used and each takes hours to make from Polymer Clay which is baked in the oven. The faces and bodies are hand painted in artists acrylic, and finished with crackle glazes and varnish to give them an antique weathered look.

Each comes wrapped in cello with a swing tag and will be carefully packaged for transit. They are intended as collectable dolls and are designed for display rather than play/small children because many contain wire, and have small parts such as bells, beads & buttons!
