Flared Serving Bowl with Multicolor Fish- Made to Order

Description

The technique (sgraffito) is the same as that used on my other work, except here I've blended my dark blue and aqua colored slips to get a gradation of color. The bowl is hand thrown on the wheel (by me), and the fish design is drawn freehand (by me) through that layer of slips to the porcelain beneath, and the background is carved away (again by me; okay, you get it, I do everything here).

Fired to cone 10 (2380 degrees F/ true high fire) and wired for hanging display, the bowl is food-, dishwasher-, and microwave-safe (remove the hanging wire before using in the microwave, of course). It will be delivered in a glossy white gift box.

This piece can be custom made with names and wedding date, or any other personalization you desire, for an additional $70.00.
