Just as mens aloha shirts call to mind the splendor of the Hawaiian Islands, so too do womens mu'umu'u. I can't tell you how excited I was to find this 1950's vintage Hawaiian dress! This is the real deal, a true treasure to own. Styles have changed over the years but this straight easy shift style with side slits and bows is forever fashionable.

This dress is as green as a fresh ti leaf, the ones you see made into Hula skirts. The print is of all the Hawaiian Islands; Oahu, Hawaii, Molokai, Maui, Lanai and even the smaller islands and they are all named. There are Hula dancers, Hawaiian warriors, the Aloha Tower, coconut palms, sail boats and even the cruise ship Lurline. The design is highlighted with metallic gold. This dress is a pull over style with the tag MADE IN HAWAII, and has slits on both sides topped with tie bows. There is a right side hidden inset pocket and bust darts but this dress is a straight cut from bust to hem.

This dress is in very nice vintage condition and I find no stains, holes or defects. I can see the very faintest fade to the fabric which would be very normal for a few washings. Really great condition for a 1950's dress.

There is no size so please see the garment measurements below. Measurements below are of the dress laid
flat and doubled for circumference.

inches for ease. It's a good idea to compare these measurements to an item of clothing that fits you well.

Bust - 37 inches (93.5 cm) Straight cut all the way down.
Waist - 37 inches
Hip - 37 inches
Arm hole circumference - 16.5 inches (41.8 cm)
Length - 50 inches (126.4 cm)
Side slits - 15.5 inches (39.3 cm)
