The Balance of Chaos and Harmony, A Grand Prize Winning Necklace

The International Jewelry Designers Guild had a members only design competition. We were sent a set of beads a circular flat ring in silver, and a focal bead made by Brea Moser of Enter the Flame. We were allowed to add beads but we couldn't not use everything sent us. I took this opportunity to expore some design concepts including balance, color, contrast, and technique. This gorgeous necklace was the result.

I then learned that pushing the boundaries can win you prizes for indeed this necklace took the top prize.

I am offering it now on Etsy for the upcoming holiday season. It has a most flattering drape for any neck.

Materials include seed beads, glass pearls, various formed black glass beads, 2 vintage repurposed rhinestone shoe clips, one fantastic hand made lampwork flower pendant, fine silver wire, ceramic creamy white with black bead for the bead and loop fastening.

The center weave is a free form bead netting.

The accent colors are orange and celery. This neckpiece is a real attention getter and the compliments just keep coming!

You will receive the necklace nestled in tissue inside a lovely silver satin gift bag.
