Walter - 5x7 limited ed. block print

Description

Walter lives with his wife Martha in a quiet suburb of D.C. Every Tuesday night he dons his black and white shoes and drives to The Jam Cellar to dance lindy hop with all of the lovely young girls. Sometimes, when he’s feeling gracious, he even brings Martha along, too.

"Walter" is the second in a series of facial hair portraits. It's a relief print, hand-printed by me. This was printed in an edition of 10. It is NOT a digital print. Because it's hand-printed, each print will vary slightly, adding to its character! It's printed in water-based Speedball ink on Rives BFK paper.

Instead of using linoleum or wood for the block, I reused styrofoam food packaging recycled from my local grocery store. This is a very environmentally friendly print, with safe, non-toxic inks and recycled materials going into the process.

The print is signed, dated, and numbered on the back. It will be packaged with acid-free backing board in an archival, plastic sleeve and mailed in a protective mailer, ready to be popped into a standard-sized frame or hung as it is. Give it to your favorite member of the Beard and Mustache club, or save it as a reminder of a beardo in your life!
