Closed Gentian Blank Card Set of 3 (Beige)

Thanks to Flickr's "Chrisser," I know that this blue beauty is a Closed Gentian. Chrisser told me the name, and Wiki and other web sites told me that the bitter root of the gentian plant is one of the sources of the soft drink Moxie's unusual flavor.

I found the wildflower on the side of the Klondike Notch Trail in the high peaks region of the Adirondacks. Sun was scarce that morning, but these flowers have a glow of their own. I got a sharp picture in low light because a tripod held my camera, and air in the deep forest was still. A special transfer printing process in the workflow took away most of that sharpness, leaving blurs of color and light, that, to me, are as soft as the flower.

Folded cards measure 6 1/2" by 5". Envelopes are 7 1/4" by 5 1/4". Three cards are protected by a clear plastic bag.
