Oscar Night Black Onyx and Swarovski Necklace

Oscar night is like the Super Bowl for me. The clothes, the jewelry, the hair, the shoes... It's an amazing night. It calls for something elegant that also makes a statement. This necklace does just that.

I strung 0.018-inch nylon-coated stainless steel wire with black onyx, silver-plate, and Swarovski beads. The Swarovski beads have an aurora borealis finish. It closes with a sterling silver trigger clasp. It's approximately 16.5 inches (42 cm) long.

The real star of this piece, though, is the onyx. From a distance, it looks black, but up close you see bands of white and hints of brown that make it all the more interesting. It's guaranteed to draw people in.
