When traces of moisture and iron or manganese oxide are trapped inside the quartz fissures, they form patterns resembling trees, branches or ferns called dendrites. The word dendrite comes from the Greek word “dendron” meaning "tree."

Length is 17" and the quartz is a little over 1" x 3/5", 1/5" thick with a beveled edge. Tiny vermeil nugget beads connect the spring clasp and chain. If you'd like a gold filled lobster clasp, the additional cost is $4.

All items arrive in a black velvet pouch placed in a leaf motif paper box that I have custom made in Thailand. For multiple item orders, there's a maximum of two paper boxes.
