Honu, Green Shell -- Origami Crane Framed Art

Description

"Honu" is the Hawaiian word for sea turtle. It is frequently represented in both art and jewelry. This honu is made from a total of 117 origami cranes, each measuring about 1.5 inches (3.75 cm) tall, and is mounted on a crushed velveteen background of multiple shades of blue. It comes in a handmade shadow box picture frame that is 2.5 inch (6.35 cm) deep . The image size is 8 inches (20 cm) by 10 inches (25 cm), and the overall size of the frame is about 9 inches (22.5 cm) by 11 inches (27.5 cm).

This is my second version of the Honu, after I saw how much better the green shell looked compared to the gold shell.
