Original Mixed Media Painting - She Wishes for Peace

I painted this last fall right before the US presidential election. During that time, I couldn't turn the tv on without hearing lots of disagreements between the parties. I was wishing for peace (and quiet!) from it all.

She Wishes for Peace is an original mixed media acrylic painting. It is 8 1/2" W x 11" L on birch plywood. It has a heavily layered background. There's all kinds of secret stuff under there! It's sealed with beeswax, which gives a soft textured feel. I have polished it, so it is shiny. To keep it looking shiny, all you have to do is buff it with a soft cloth. The beeswax keeps the painting sealed and protected from dust and debris.


It's signed on the back, and it has a Miz Katie stamp, too.
