Green Shell and Wood Necklace Unisex

Description

The inspiration for this necklace came from my son. He asked me to make him a necklace, but it had to be simple and include his favorite color, green. This is a somewhat fancier version of the one I made for him. It’s called Monster Green, named after my son’s favorite stuffed dinosaur.

I tried to keep it as natural as possible, so the black beads are painted wood, and the green bead in the center is dyed shell. The tribal looking beads are Bali sterling silver and the beads next to the shell and near the clasp are silver plated. This 20 ½ inch necklace is strung on high strength 49-strand nylon coated stainless steel, which is very flexible, kink resistant and waterproof.

The metal magnetic clasp makes this necklace really easy to put on. Please remember not to open the clasp by pulling straight on the necklace, but instead grasp the clasp itself and bend it in half until the magnets let go.
