EFFORTLESSLY CHIC

I created this cuff bracelet as an expression of my love of history, art, fantasy, Paris and that feminine "je ne sais quoi." This time done in silver, "Parisienne" is an ode to a bygonge era Parisien.

FEMIININE. ROMANTIC. TIMELESS.

I've taken my favorite images of Pairs and fashioned them into this cuff bracelet. I've named this La Serie Argent - Delta of Venus.

Anais Nin was born in Neuilly, France (1903), to a Cuban father and a Danish mother. Nin is hailed as one of the finest writers of female erotica. In her early 20s, Nin moved to Paris and, soon thereafter, began to pursue her interest in writing. In 1940, faced with a desperate need for money, Nin began to write erotic narratives for an anonymous "collector" for a dollar a page. She never intended for her erotic works to be published, but changed her mind in the early 1970s, and allowed them to be published as "Delta of Venus." The inspiration for this bracelet was the 1999 film adaptation of this book [warning: not for the faint of heart].

The lasting impression that Anais Nin leaves me is her ultimate desire to create, and then project, the image of a free woman designing her own life and world into something beautiful - with this bracelet my aim is the same.

COLORFUL. WHIMSICAL. UNIQUE.

This bracelets dimensions: 7.5"x2" closes via a 1.5"x1" silvertone/fillagreed box clasp - secure, easy to close & open, and very pretty. I've got a wonderful friend in Shanghai who handmakes my clasps.

This bracelet is made using 6 large sized Bamboo tiles. Each individual tile contains an affixed altered art image, that I have photographed, and then extensively handpainted. Then, I "wire-weave" the tiles together and "wire-weave" the box clasp onto the ends.

Each individual tile is a tiny work of art. Make sure that you enlarge each photograph so that you can see the exquisite detail. I just love them - I hope that you will too.

Note: the last photo is of me wearing one of my Gran Serie - just to give you an idea of how fabulous they look on!
