Guenevere

Description

There is just something about brass and blue the color of the sky or rain that puts me in mind of the complicated queen of Camelot. I must admit I grow more fond of her with each such necklace I make. Who wants for a muse a perfect angel of the house anyhow?

So here is my latest incarnation of the Lady Guenevere. Ten beautifully faceted Peruvian blue chalcedony briolettes hang at random from a naturally patinaed vintage brass chain 39 inches in length meant to wrap around the neck twice. The stone are of varying sizes and shapes--the overall effect is one of extreme elegance without the rigidity of perfect symmetry. An apt metaphor for the queen, perhaps. Finished with an antiqued brass clasp.
