Hunter's Trophy-Stained Glass Moose Head OD

Living in the land of Moose, I couldn’t resist creating this original design (OD) as a hunter’s trophy sun catcher. Approximately 9”x7.5” this stained glass piece has a commanding presence and will stir the imagination and spur storytelling. A great gift for outdoors men and moose lovers alike, it will please any wildlife enthusiast. I have a few of these available, each a little different due to variations within the glass, but the same design and composition as the prototype in the photographs on this page. Hung in a window, or from a mirror, it’s an accent that would compliment the décor of a man’s study, a cabin in the woods, or the room of any Bullwinkle fan.
The body and face of the moose was made from dark brown wispy translucent glass, the eye was cut from opaque black glass, and the rack was cut from dark amber wispy using a special tool to make the deep curves. Each piece of glass was cut and then ground with precision to its exact shape. Copper foil was meticulously applied to the edges of each piece prior to soldering. The finished piece was then cleaned, and polished. It will arrive complete with product tag and suction cup for hanging.
