Emily Dickinson inspired me to make a hat for visiting a friend on a chilly afternoon in, made from soft gray fleece, topped with silk velvet and a handmade velvet flower, lined with striped pink cotton knit and swirled around with two strands of self-made striped piping. What genius lurked in her double helix!
