Truly outstanding lampwork beads in luscious shades of Cerulean blue and deep navy, complimented by soft swirls of sandy cashmere tan. This generous set includes large beads that combine the aqua, navy and tan tones in a pattern that makes me think of the sandy bottom of a deep Caribbean lagoon, with artful little raised shells and petite beads of blue for added textural interest. Artful swaths of the almost irridescent tan bring out the dramatic blues beautifully. The second set of beads are complementary to the larger set, and are in a smaller, delightfully artistic freeform shape that could be a tumbling seashell... or perhaps a coral fragment on the ocean's floor? You decide! I've also added some remarkable crystal spacers with the exact shades of the larger beads' blues; the colors are encased in a thick crystal outer layer that makes them pop to the surface and intensifies the pattern. With plenty of coordinating Swarovski glass pearls and crystals, this is a superb, rich piece...but there's more... This is a double-strand necklace with a unique clasp that allows you to wear each strand separately or both together. And it's stunning in all 3 modes. The longer length is ~20"; shorter strand is ~17". Matching earrings are gold-filled; clasp is designed and hand-made by the famous, wonderful folks at Hill Tribes Silver, a consortium of artisans in the hill tribes of Northern Thailand who have been designing and creating beautiful pieces in strictly limited quantities for generations.
