The APHRODITE Necklace

Description

A very rich and elegant necklace can be worn as a formal piece or dressed down for a more simple look. This flower was one of the first I made for the Fall season. I used a glass that has some silvering properties which gave this flower a very unique look. It almost doesn't look like glass because of the frosted appearance. This flower is a very rich golden soft brown with a dichroic center.

The flower focal was wired to a base of solid sterling silver wire, which was wrapped with a fine gauge wire and then wrapped again along the outer edge to form small loops to give the look of lace. Dropping down below the focal center is a AAA faceted beer quartz briolette. The center focal measures 2 inches in length (including the briolette) and about 1.25 inches in width.

The necklace itself consists of 10mm gold and brown rutilated quartz step faceted twist beads wrapped in sterling silver wire. Between each rutilated quartz are clusters of small faceted Petro Tourmaline heart briolettes and creamy freshwater keshi pearls. Clasp is a fancy freshwater pearl and sterling box clasp. All silver has been oxidized for a very rich and dreamy look.
