Handspun Handknit Light Green Wool Receiving Blanket Baby Blanket

Here is a soft, warm blanket, perfect for placing over a wee one as they nap. This is one of my first handspinning projects! I started with a pound of Corriedale wool, which I dyed with a light green dye. I carded the wool and spun it. In order to use all the yarn I had in one project, I designed this blanket to be knit from the center out to the edges. After binding off, I had only 8 inches of yarn left! The blanket measures 25 inches square, which seems like the perfect size for a newborn. Good for the stroller too, as there wouldn't be too much extra to hang out and get caught in the wheels.

This wool blanket is nice and soft, and still retains some of the original lanolin in the wool!

Care instructions for this blanket are: Hand wash in warm water, spin to remove excess water, lay flat to dry. Will send along instructions on how I wash my hand washables in the washing machine.
