Soft plush Prairie Gothic rag doll

Description

This is an early doll from my personal collection and about 5 years old. She is one of the very first that I made from my own patterns and is quite a different style from my current dolls. She is made from lovely soft snow white polar fleece. Her boots are made from black felt and all her hand stitched seams are on the outside in incredibly neat blanket stitch.

I gave her crazy sparkly black synthetic wool hair pulled up into 2 bunches at the front which are streaked with twirly white wool strands. She has a simple stitched face and translucent blue button eyes. Her clothing is lovely, long white bloomers made from vintage cotton with lace trimmed hems, under a dress of black/white tiny flowers trimmed with lace, satin ribbon and a black satin rose.

The style reminded me of Little House on the Prairie and she became known as my "Prairie Gothic" doll and I subsequently made more in this style. I have decided it's time she went on to a good home.

All of my dolls are "One of a Kind", from my own original patterns and take hours to make, and are stuffed with hygienic top quality synthetic soft toy filling. This doll comes wrapped in cello with a Freaky Little Things swingtag. All my dolls are intended as adult collectables and as many contain wire, and have small parts (bells, beads & buttons!). They are designed for display rather than for play/young children.
