The Chickadee Artwork Cabochon BroochThe artwork on this brooch is my own illustration originally much larger and done with pastel pencils. A digital picture was taken and reduced in size and then decoupaged onto a clear acrylic cabochon. Multiple layers of a transparent glaze give the look of glass.
The cabochon was then placed into a vintage, antiqued copper brooch setting with a scalloped edge. The cabochon is 25mm X 18mm, and in the setting, it measures about 1 1/4 by 1 inch.
The combination of the decoupaged print and a vintage setting gives the overall piece the look of older, almost antique jewelry.
Your brooch will come in a silky drawstring bag!
