Pysanki - Hand-drawn and dyed Ukrainian Easter Eggs

Beautiful, creative gifts for a special occasion! Everyone loves to look at these eggs.
The colors are so vivid and the patterns intricate. Each of my smaller chicken eggs takes approximately 4 hours to make and the quality shows. The larger goose eggs take six or eight hours to do!

These two eggs shown here are designed after the Peruvian gourd-carving tradition. I put an actual gourd bowl from Peru in the photo. This pattern used represents the turtle shell, which has auspicious meaning in several cultures.

I have many more eggs than shown and can do custom designs for you. These are not painted on wood, but dyed using a wax-resist method on real eggs, so the resulting surface of the egg is smooth and the colors are vibrant.

For safety and longevity of the artwork, all eggs are blown out with one small hole in the bottom.
Each of these eggs is $25.00. The gourd is not for sale.
