Pont Neuf Painter Dress
Description
This piece was built from scratch through the French design technique of "moulage": I pinned and tucked on both a dress form and a live model until it was sculpted from my imagination with attention to tailoring and fit.
Loose dress in cotton with polyester "flockage" ton-sur-ton velour textured print. The color is a matte silver gray. [This particular color is tricky to display online so the true color may not be accurately represented on your computer screen.] Scoop neck with couture pleated collar finished by hand. Short raglan sleeves with pouf cuffs. Above the knee length. Machine-serged edges. Unlined. Like all my clothing, this item is as nicely finished on the inside as it is on the outside.
This dress fits both French sizes 38 and 40. The smaller you are, the more loosely the dress will fit. It looks especially cute belted. French sizes are as follows:
French 38:
Bust 88 cm/34.6"
Waist: 68 cm/27"
Hips: 94 cm/37"

In photos it is displayed on a professional dress form used for design purposes, French size 38. For reference purposes the live model in the photos [hello, it's me] is between a French size 36 and 38.
Finished length of dress from back neckline to hem: Approximately 84 cm / 33"
