40s FUR SHAWL Collar

Description

Another beauty, achin' to be recycled onto a cashmere sweater or clutch coat. Nice, shoulder covering collar, thus given the name, 'shawl collar'. The fur is genuine, a true vintage piece, circa 1940s or earlier. It is in excellent condition, with no damage or shedding. Nicely lined in black jacquard silk satin, with a salmon pink flower scattered on the lining. The fur is gorgeous, light tan background, with deeply contrasting spots in black, with light brown centers. Clean, and ready to use. This collar does not have any type of hookeye closure, but I can add one, for the buyer, if the buyer tells me too. This will allow you to wear this collar, over a sweater, with at least the ends of the collar clasped together.

This collar is 32 3/4" long, measured all around, on the inside, and 46 1/2" long, along the outer perimeter of the collar. The collar is 5" wide in the back, and for most of the way around, down to the 2" tapered tips.
