This listing is a truly stunning piece of paper art which would make a perfect gift for that very special person in your life:
One (1) meticulously handfolded three-dimensional 48-pointed Moravian star that measures appx. 78 mm (3 1/10") across. A true conversation starter at any dinner table!

The star is folded from twelve strips of silvery grey paper. The finished star is dipped in paraffin wax and glittered with ultrafine diamond dust glitter. This renders a luxuriously shimmering surface without any actual glitter flakes to be seen. Click the zoom icon for a close-up view of this!

I can punch a tiny hole through the tip of one point to enable attachment of a loop hanger, which in this case will be made of thin, almost invisible fishing line. If you would like to hang your star from the ceiling I can attach a sufficient length of the same kind of line instead.

For an additional $1.00 you will get a handmade ring & hook (see picture) of either galvanized, brass or nickel silver wire instead of the line. Kindly indicate your choice during check-out, i.e. hole or no hole / fishing line loop or length / metal hook. Thanks.

Traditionally Moravian stars were used outdoors. Hence the wax, which makes them resistant to rain and snow. Handled with due care they're sturdy enough to last as e.g. Christmas ornaments for a lifetime or two.

Thanks to the wax the stars can even be put to float in water :)
