Blue wine bottle cheese tray with purple accents

Description

Pretty and practical! This is a lovely cheese tray that was created by firing a blue wine bottle into my glass kiln, and allowing it to slump in on itself. The result is an interesting serving platter, ideal for cheeses or pickles. It is accented with artificial grapes and a ribbon bow in deep shades of purple. These are attached to a beaded elastic ring, so the whole decoration can slide right on and off the neck of the bottle - perfect for washing up! It measures 32cm x 11 cm (approx. 12.75" x 4.5").

Proper annealing in my digitally controlled kiln ensure the longevity of this platter under normal conditions. It will, of course, likely shatter if dropped upon a hard surface!
