Piper SKY - a bookGoddess for your book

Piper SKY is a very unique and interesting person except that she isn't a person - she is a bookmark. Well no, not really JUST a bookmark - she is more wonderful than that... she is a bookGODDESS! She will keep your place in whatever book you're reading - or you could frame her or post her in a place of honor in your work area to inspire you or, keep her next to your bed to guard and protect your dreams. Whatever you do with Piper SKY - she is a unique piece of art never to be made again so if you like her - click quick!

9.5" tall X 2.5 wide (238mm X 65mm) P. SKY is made entirely by me... I molded her face from model magic playdoh, and then painted it to resemble old bronze. It's a really beautiful face, with irredescent pink and coppery highlights and a blue-green patina as if she were ancient, which she is of course - never mind that I just made her the other day. Her hat is a bit of colorful appricot and purple fabric with bits of red... accents of metallic gold paint and long, lovely multicolored tassles of pink, purple and blue. You can think of it as hair or as tassles. Once she is yours, you can think what you want.

Her dress is a bit of purchased paper. Even I cannot resist the allure of the paper aisle at the craft store! To this however, I added a bit of ivory/metallic gold paper as a wrap skirt, and a yellow scarf with orange polka dots just to keep her warm on those literary adventures in cool climates. Her petticoat is a bit of a map - somewhere in Eastern Europe I think. I have a wonderful friend who travels a lot more than me and she brings me such wonderful bits and pieces from her travels. This might be in the area of Prague. Not sure.

Fianlly - she has wheels instead of feet. Colorful wheels too and one has extra traction built in --- so you know there isn't a thing she cannot navigate - book-wise. Altogether Piper SKY is a wonderful, lovely bookGoddess ready to bestow vast clouds of warm benevolence upon you as you read.
