Vintage coats and jackets: era late 1950s early 1960s

This is the sweetest, poodle cloth and mohair, vintage coat that you are going to see this season.

It is a mixed earth tone Plaid, olive green and chestnut brown, mohair and wool classic from the Jackie-o era. The body of the coat has a peterpan collar and is cut using 3/4 raglan set sleeves, has two large side pockets, and closes in front with three large 1.5" diameter buttons. The 3/4 sleeves should fall a few inches above the wrist, to accomodate the wearer's gloves.

This vintage coat's label is missing.
Estimated to fit current sizes: 6-8-10-US

sleeve 3/4: 14-inches
underarm circumference: 44-inches
Hem circumference: 55-inches

The lining is a nice goldtone heavy satin finish, and this vintage coat is in excellent condition. The lining inside has a few dark stops near the hem, and has evidence of a previous hand repair. The coat is shown belted, for inspiration only and belt is not included in the listing. There are no belt loops on the jacket.
