Vintage Hand Sewn - Silky Purple Blouse - 1980s

Hand made -
Feminine blouse, hand sewn in the mid 1980s in a silky and fine purple man-made fabric.

Uniquely tailored V tucks adorn the front bodice
Long sleeves with gathered sleeve tops
Narrow buttoned cuffs
Single buttoned key-hole back opening

Body is a body-skimming close fit.

100% polyester.

Size is a size 10(sewing pattern)
which loosely translates to a 6-8 ready-made size.
My dress form is a size 8 and this blouse fit "Aggie" with very little "give".

Measurements -
From back neck to hem -
25" (63.5 cm)
narrow machine sewn hem

From underarm to hem -
16" (40.6 cm)

Sleeve length from underarm to beginning of cuff -
17" (43.2 cm)
2" (5.1 cm) band cuff

Bust measurement -
38" (96.5 cm)
Note - this bodice has no darts.

This is not my design. It is from a commercial sewing pattern from that era.

Blouse has been worn, is clean and in good condition.

However - The blouse does show some wear along the edges of the cuffs and along the hem.

Preferred care is hand wash cool and air dry on a hanger.

It can also be gently machine washed in cool water and tumbled dry for a few minutes.
Hang immediately on a soft hanger.

Use a cool iron if necessary.
