Tarot Cat The Fool on Mah Jongg Tile Pendant
Description
This is a replica of a vintage tarot deck with cats as the characters. This little cat is the Fool. The Fool is read as foolishness, frenzy impulsiveness, extravagance, and sometimes frivolity. It is the first card of the Major Arcana. The mah jongg tile, the 3 of bamboo or bams, represents the toad. To Western people the flecks on the moon's surface are regarded to be the face of the "man in the moon", the Chinese however regard these markings to be two creatures, the hare and the toad. The hare is attributed with knowledge of the elixir of life, whereas the three-legged toad is symbolic of a long life and the unattainable. It is also associated with medicine, where it represents both sickness and the cure. The major qualities represented by this tile are therefore, healing and over-ambition.
I do not try to match the tarot card to the mah jongg tile but let fortune make the match.
The pendant comes with a organza ribbon necklace and in a digitally decorated handmade gift box.
