~Agate Astray Necklace in Couture Collection~

This necklace is made with an abundance of sterling silver, Mookaite beads and those beautiful asymmetrical Agate beads. The Mookaite has it's own beauty as there are a lot of subtle color variations within the burgundy tones. Sterling silver beads add a touch of contrast to the golds, red and browns in the stones. I used two full strands of beads in this necklace. I carefully chose the sterling silver toggle clasp to compliment the squared and uneven agate beads. I hope that I'll keep finding more unusually shaped beads. They make such gorgeous and OOAK jewelry!

~WEARABILITY~
I wear each piece I make for a day so I can better communicate the wearability of a piece. The following commentary is, of course, merely my observations. I'm sure each person can tolerate different things for different periods of time.

It doesn't get much easier to wear than this. It's light, it doesn't matter how the beads are placed and the clasp is an easy-in-easy-out toggle. It really is wear it and forget it and you can go all day long with it.

~REFLECTIONS~
This is one of my favorite necklaces (I keep saying that! *lol*)...as much as I love making statement pieces, simple pieces are fun to make too. I find the statement in this piece is in the unusual shape of the agate stones as well as their gorgeous inclusions...:)

It's classic and it catches the eye because of all the angles. It could be a real conversation starter at a week-night dinner or for just about any occasion. The rich colors lend themselves well to fall colors and deep neutrals. Even purples would look great with this!
