The Scrumptious Strawberry knitted baby fruit hat - sizes newborn to 2 years

These hats are the whole reason that I learned to knit. Both of my kiddos came home from the hospital wearing them. My daughter was a pumpkin, and my son was a blueberry. They have a level of cuteness that is far, far off the charts.

The hat is made of cotton and is machine washable. It will retain its shape better if it is air dried with a balled-up plastic bag inside, to help keep the shape. The hat is knit on circular needles, so there is no seam to press into the baby’s head. It has a rolled brim, but the hat is generous enough to cover baby’s ears. The hat also has a leaf attached to the top.

The hat is available in four sizes:

0-3 months
3-6 months
6-12 months
12-24 months

Larger sizes can be done through special order.

I package all the hats in a pie tin, with a “recipe card” attached. The card includes the name of the hat (ie: The Perfect Pumpkin), size and care instructions. Both the hat and pie tin are nestled inside a cardboard pie box, which is perfect for gift-giving. These hats are always a hit at baby showers.

All items come from a smoke-free home.
