Steampunk Fairy Costume - Made To Order

How does Steampunk translate to a fairy costume? For me, this is it.

While the possibilities for this dress are endless, (add a cool women's top hat and cane, wear it as it is, etc.), but my vision of it is as a Steampunk Fairy.

Corseted Bodice
The bodice of this dress has a fully boned, lace-up corset. It is very supportive. The bodice is made of a beautiful gold and black striped silk chiffon. The sleeves are elasticized and can be worn on or off-the-shoulder. The back of the bodice laces up with a white satin ribbon and has a white "modesty panel" behind the lacings.

Full, Bustled Skirt with Brass Rivets
The skirt has layers and layers of tulle and is fully lined. It is draped with brown taffeta that bustles in the back. The front edges of the taffeta have been riveted with antique brass rivets.

Due to the nature of a custom-made garment, while generally unnecessary, I still suggest you plan for minor alterations due to my inability to do an in-person fitting. Wings
The wings are worn around the shoulders. They are large white feathered wings. They are very lightweight and comfortable.

Goggles
What Steampunk Fairy would be complete without flying goggles? I painted the casing a rich brown to evoke the feeling of wood. The rims and rivets have been painted antique brass. The flip-up rims are dark black and the inner rims are clear.
