Bracelet, African Trade Beads, Copper Silver by Kate D-W
Description
Beads like this are becoming harder and harder to find. I select the finest out of my collection for pieces like this. It is a really lovely piece and I can say that because it is about the beads. I have simply made them easily and comfortably wearable. It is hard to measure the length of a bracelet like this but it is of average woman's size and still wearable by a man... about 18 inches on the inside. The beads are about 14mm long and the copper is hishi from the Giriama tribe in Kenya. The earrings hang 35mm from their silver ear wires. I only want to sell these as a set... I will try to put up some extra earrings soon on their own. The bracelet is strung on elastic, but not anything like the elastic bracelets you have come across before! This is extra thick and strong and I have been wearing a bracelet strung on this every day for nearly four years now, just to test it. Fantastic, and it allows me to make bracelets that sit close to the arm with no clasp, very very easy to slip on and off.Added on Oct 14, 2009
