5 Panel Victorian Needlepoint

Description

An unusual piece, that is ready to be recycled. We purchased it, because of the colors, and beauty the floral design had. Jet black background make all these subtle colors pop with vigor, in this victorian, turn of 'last' century piece. 5 panels, (2 pairs of the same design, and one single). Maroon, magenta, salmon orange, peach, champagne, celedon, chatreuse, yellow, gold, hunter, kelly, grey. lavender, offwhite, brown, golden brown, pale dusty rose, rose, black. I may have missed a color or two. The black is strong, and this piece looks much better in person. It is soft, not stiff. Can easily be backed with silk, and made into dress collars, added as trim or appliqued to garments, be creative~ This piece measures 6 1/2" at it's widest scallop, some measure 5", another 5 1/2" another 6", 3 1/2" at it's narrow point, each panel measuring about 8" long on one side, and 11" on the other side. Measurements may vary slightly from one panel to the other. Made of silk embroidery threads, on a jute like canvas.
