Small Gathering Harvest Basket

Description

This porcelain basket was hand thrown in our converted horse barn, then a handle was pulled, altered and attached. The movement created by the handle is a beautiful aesthetic as well as functional, your hand seems to fit it like a glove. It measures 5.5" by 4.5" and could hold any number of things. We have one as a centerpiece on our table. We fill it with snack mix when company comes!
My goal as a potter is to make functional work that people can have a personal relationship with. When you're using what has been made by hand, you will get an understanding of the relationship that you would not be getting from one churned out of a factory.

All work is fully functional, as well as dishwasher and microwave and oven safe, (when pre-heated w/oven). With careful firing my distinct glazes form a micro-crystalline pattern.
