OOAK Primitive Folk Art Cloth Santa Doll - Free Shipping
Description
Meet Hubert. His name is Old German for “bright intellect.” He is an original, OOAK cloth Santa doll made from painted, antiqued and lightly varnished muslin. His lower lip is stuffed and appliquéd. His nose and fingers are needle sculpted. Tied around his neck is a vintage scientific toy gyroscope. His coat and cap are made from a vintage tea-dyed chenille bedspread. I added a scrap of vintage trim to his cap. His trousers are sewn from a lightly tea-dyed vintage fringed tablecloth. His coat is trimmed with two of my favorite old "ringer" buttons from my button collection.Sitting, Hubert is approximately 13" from his nether regions to his cap. His total length is approximately 24".
