A LITTLE ABOUT THE TECHNIQUE . . .
This scarf was made through the ancient art form of traditional wet felting. It is a non-woven technique that merges raw wool fibers to form a solid material called felt. With hot water, soap, agitation, skill, and patience, I hand form each scarf one at a time. My wet felted scarves are all made from scratch like all my other items. Although color schemes may be similar, each scarf is a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art that I could not duplicate exactly even if I tried. That is the beauty of it all and why I love to make these scarves.
