Thanksgiving - Turkey Day Brooch of Layered Textiles and Trims

This "Turkey Day" layered fabric brooch can be worn with any brown-hued clothing or outerwear items for Thanksgiving this year!

The base layer of this 4-1/4" x 2-3/4" oval brooch is a deep chocolate brown linen. Sewn on top of the base layer is an oval from a red and golden-beige upholstery fabric. Topping that layer is an oval from a red and brown toned damask upholstery fabric. To the left side of the top layer is sewn a turkey applique. Mr. Tom Turkey is looking at the big billboard on the other side of the brooch that proclaims "Turkey Day". There are two vintage buttons sewn below the turkey and sign, and the larger button is covered in worn brown velvet.

The brooch is backed with chocolate brown eco-felt, and a locking pinback is securely hand-sewn to the felt.

This brooch was made in my pet-free and smoke-free home and has not been worn.
