The Pumpkin Girl, Gothic Rag Doll

Here is the latest Freaky Little Thing, Honey Pumpkin. She hatched out of the largest Pumpkin in the patch and grew into this crazy haired Gothic Beauty, just in time for Halloween. She was to have a scary little Pumpkin head dolly too, but he met with a tragic accident just before I managed to get him photographed - he is the reason she has now been reduced.

She has a lovely face, the first that I have totally painted in acrylics after layering the calico with gesso, her hands have been treated this way too. This takes more time than my usual face painting method and is reflected in her price. She has huge dark green eyes and amazing "Bed-head" bright pink hair made from Mohair wool and a kitten soft chenille yarn. She wears a cute black satin topped dress with a ruffled neckline and a fab embroidered circle skirt made from georgette. The skirt is lined and has a netting petticoat and the cutest pair of lace hemmed knickerbockers! She has the usual black felt boots and fishnet tights. She is around 60cm high and can stand alone when balanced, sit or posed standing with the aid of a doll stand (not included).

All of my dolls are "One of a Kind", from my own original patterns and take hours to make, using traditional calico fabric and are stuffed with hygienic top quality synthetic soft toy filling. They are made with a machine and finished with hand stitching. The faces (and even some of the fabrics used in the clothing) are hand painted in artists acrylic with glitter and special finishes.

Each doll comes wrapped in cello with it's own adoption certificate and a little story/rhyme about the doll. All my dolls are intended as adult collectibles and as many contain wire, and have small parts (bells, beads & buttons!). They are designed for display rather than for play/young children.
