Pincushion - Felted Wool, rust and leaf

Size: about 2 ¼ inches (5.5 cm) wide by 2 inches (5 cm) tall.

Here is a pincushion I made entirely from wool! Wool is great for keeping pins and needles from rusting. I needle felted this little cutie, sculpting its shape from loose fibers with barbed needles. It’s very firm, lightweight and fits so nicely in the hand. The top is one of my felted nests, like the ones I make brooches with.

The quilting pins pictured are included! Pincushions come packaged in their own nest of tissue paper shreds in a clear plastic box tied with a ribbon, ready for gift giving.
