GREEN LABEL ARAN WEIGHT, Stormy Colourway

Description

A wonderful 1oo% superwash merino aran weight yarn dyed by Tanis Fiber Arts. I’m really happy with the soft, bouncy quality of this yarn. It gets softer with every wash and is one of those yarns that will last through seasons of use. Great for winter accessories and kids clothes that can see lots of wear!

Yarn is:
100% superwash merino wool
115g (4oz) = 196m (215yds)
gauge: 4.5 sts. Per inch
needle: 5mm (U.S. size 8)
machine washable and dryable

Stormy Colourway:
A dark grey with hits of dark blues and deep emerald greens. Very sophisticated.

My Hand Dyed Yarns feature a large number of tone on tone colourways all dyed by hand in a smoke free environment. I use the term "marbling" to describe the way in which I apply to dyes to the yarns. It results in a random yet even distribution of colour. My goal is to avoid splotching and pooling, to achieve more of a heathery effect. The yarns contain many shades in the same family of colours for a rich, luxurious result. Interesting enough for simple pattern where the yarn is the star, but subtle enough to let fun cables and lace work shine!
